A strong believer in lifelong learning, I have engaged in continuous education as a student, as a mentor, and as a teacher. In addition to staying current on practice, law and ethics through AICP certification maintenance credits, I have synthesized my knowledge and applied it by teaching workshops in professional ethics for planning professionals, continuing legal education seminars for attorneys, and public meeting best practices for planning commissioners.

As an Affiliate Associate Professor at the University of Washington I teach graduate students the theory and practice of planning. I have also taught comprehensive planning to lay citizens as a regular panelist on the "Short Course in Local Planning" administered by the Washington State Department of Commerce.
